Collection: Aerodynamics

Aerodynamics is the part of fluid mechanics that studies the gases in motion and the forces or reactions to which the bodies that interact with those gases are subjected. Apart from the importance of aerodynamics in itself, the value of its contribution to aeronautics must be added. According to the Mach number or the relative speed of a body in motion with respect to the air, aerodynamics is divided into subsonic and supersonic according to whether that number is less than or greater than unity.
